Welcome to Seattle Central Community College
We are proud to be Seattle’s first community college. Since 1966, the college has served the higher education and training needs of more than 500,000 students. Seattle Central offers certificate programs, associate degree programs and a four-year baccalaureate degree in Applied Behavioral Science.
We enjoy our role as an urban campus. Our students tell us they come to Seattle Central because of the diversity of our students, faculty and staff. And when class is done, there’s a wide variety of choices for shopping, dining, and entertainment.
Seattle Central provides a high-quality college education that is approximately half the price of a four-year college or university. Each year, about 600 students transfer from Seattle Central to one of Washington’s public and private baccalaureate schools, with nearly one-half of all transfers to the University of Washington-Seattle.
At Seattle Central, you’ll be a part of a community that reflects all walks of life and all corners of the globe. Our student body ranges from age 16 to 75 (and up). About 49 percent of our students are people of color. We challenge our students to be engaged and involved on campus and in the world around them.
Whether you want to pursue a second career, begin your college education, or prepare to transfer to a four-year college, we have a place for you. Please visit us in person or on our Web site: www.seattlecentral.edu.
Sincerely,
Mildred W. Ollée, Ed.D
